Azerbaijan residence by property, deposit or securities
Temporary residence through real estate, a bank term deposit or state securities (AZN 100,000)
In short

Three asset routes
Real estate (Article 45.1.3): you own property in Azerbaijan worth at least AZN 100,000. Term deposit (Article 45.1.3-1): you hold at least AZN 100,000 under a fixed-term deposit agreement with a bank operating in Azerbaijan. Securities (Article 45.1.3-2): you own government securities with a nominal value of at least AZN 100,000, or investment securities of legal entities at least 51 percent owned by the state.
The SMS informs the bank or the National Depository Center within 3 working days of the permit. If the deposit falls below AZN 100,000, the agreement ends, or the securities drop below that value or are sold, the bank or depository notifies the SMS within 3 working days.
Proof for each route
Property: a state registry extract (or another document confirming ownership, such as a contract or a municipal reference) and a valuation report from a licensed appraiser. If the property is worth AZN 150,000 or more, an extension within 2 years of the first application needs only the registry extract, without a new valuation.
Deposit: a bank reference showing the account number, the amount and the term of the deposit agreement; if these are missing, the SMS may ask for the agreement itself. Securities: a National Depository Center reference stating their total value.

Keeping and upgrading the permit
Extend at least 30 days before expiry, and keep the asset above AZN 100,000 throughout. Absence of more than 90 days within 180 days is a ground for cancellation.
For permanent residence after 2 years of temporary residence, the thresholds double: real estate worth AZN 200,000, a term deposit of AZN 200,000, or securities with a nominal value of AZN 200,000. Deposit and securities holders do not need to prove living funds.
