Tajikistan investor visa

The visa is for heads of companies and enterprises that actually participate in investing in Tajikistan's economy. Citizens of Pakistan, India and Uzbekistan, and of other annex-listed states unless the annex limits the category, can obtain it under the simplified procedure. Unlike most long visas, the S visa does not require an HIV test certificate even for periods over three months.

The S visa is issued on the basis of one of the following: a request of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management; confirmation by the Agency on Statistics under the President of direct foreign investment of at least USD 500,000; confirmation by the administration of a free economic zone where the investor is registered; a certificate from a Tajik bank of an account of at least USD 500,000; or a certificate from the Tax Committee of charter capital of at least USD 500,000.

Long visas are priced by duration: USD 220 for up to a year, USD 350 for up to two years and USD 450 for up to three years, plus USD 40 for multiple entry. Considering a legal entity's application costs USD 2 per person.

Applications are filed through the electronic information network, at www.visa.gov.tj, and the printed form is submitted with a photo and the receipt for state duty and consular fees. The passport should not expire earlier than six months after the visa and needs two blank pages. A certificate of an HIV test is required for visas of more than three months, except for certain categories such as the investment visa. Visas are decided within 20 working days of a complete file, extendable by up to 10 working days, and fees are not refunded after a refusal.

Family members, meaning the spouse, children and adopted children under 18, parents and other dependants, receive a matching visa marked with the suffix AO, provided they live together, but they may not work unless they change to a visa for their own activity. Tourist and transit visas are not issued as accompanying visas.
