Who uses the e-Visa

Uploads the portal asks for
You upload a passport scan as a single PDF, a recent photo, proof of accommodation, a return ticket, travel and health insurance valid throughout Georgia, proof of funds such as bank statements for the last three months, and proof of the purpose of travel. Documents must be in English or Georgian. The same papers should be carried at the border.
Required documents
Identity
- Passport scan in one PDF; valid 3 months beyond the visa, issued in the last 10 years, at least 2 blank pages, undamaged.
- Photo taken within the last 6 months, facing the camera, not copied from another document.
Travel
- Hotel booking or rental contract and a return ticket.
Money
- Bank statements for the last 3 months, an employer letter, property document or sponsor letter.
Insurance
- Travel and health insurance valid in all of Georgia, covering medical costs and death, at least GEL 30,000.
Other
- Proof of purpose, such as an invitation from a person or organisation in Georgia.
Fee and payment rules
The visa fee is USD 20 plus a 2% service charge, paid by Visa or Mastercard; the card does not have to belong to the applicant. After the first step the portal emails a DuVerify link: this identity check costs USD 15 per applicant and must be completed within 24 hours. You must confirm the verification email and pay within a few hours, otherwise the application is cancelled. No fee is refunded, even when the visa is refused or the data entered were wrong.
Processing and stay limits
A decision takes at least 5 working days. The visa type is set per nationality: a 120/30 multiple-entry visa, for example, lets you enter during 120 days and stay up to 30 days each time, while a 180/90 visa caps the total at 90 days within 180 days. Print the PDF and travel with it.
Mistakes and refusals
Data entered in an application cannot be corrected afterwards; a new application and a new payment are needed. A visa or entry can be refused when the applicant lacks insurance or sufficient funds, has an unpaid fine or ban, or when there is reasonable doubt that they will leave on time.
