Poland: visa decisions in Taiwan

2023 433949.3% 17.9%
2024 393725.1% 8.1%
2025 525100.0% 11.8%

In 2025, Poland’s embassy and consulates in Taiwan (Taipei) received 52 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 51. The refusal rate was 0.0%. The refusal rate fell by 5.1 points from 5.1% in 2024, a clear improvement for applicants. Applications rose by 33% compared with 2024 (39).

For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 6.5% of the applications lodged in Taiwan that year. Poland’s consulates worldwide refused 15.8%. Poland was the 8th most applied-for Schengen state in Taiwan.

You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Taiwan, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
