Venezuela business visa (TR-N and TR-E-I)
Business transeúnte visas (TR-N and TR-E-I)
In short
Venezuela has two business categories of transeúnte visa. The business visa (TR-N) is for traders, executives, company or industry representatives and micro-entrepreneurs who come to carry out commercial, financial or other lawful profit-making activities, and the entrepreneur/industrialist visa (TR-E-I) is for people who own companies or industries at home or with branches in Venezuela. Both are requested from a Venezuelan embassy or consulate with a passport valid for six months, a company letter, the commercial register, a medical certificate and the consular fee.

TR-N and TR-E-I
According to the requirements published by Venezuela's foreign service, the TR-N visa is granted to non-migrant traders, executives, representatives of companies or industries and micro-entrepreneurs who want to enter Venezuela to carry out commercial, mercantile or financial activities or transactions, or any other lawful profit-making activity related to their business. The TR-E-I visa is granted to people who prove that they own companies or industries established where they live, or with subsidiaries in Venezuela, and who travel for activities related to them.
Both require a passport valid for more than six months and payment of the consular fee. The consular page also lists a family visa for relatives of TR-N holders (transeúnte familiar negocios) and one for relatives of TR-E-I holders, but the pages for those categories do not yet show their requirements.
Documents for TR-E-I
For the TR-E-I visa the list is similar: passport valid for at least six months, two recent colour ID-size photos, a letter from the applicant or the company stating the purpose of the trip and the contact in Venezuela, an employment letter showing length of service, position and salary, the commercial register or a letter from the chamber or association, a medical certificate from the health authority of the country of origin and proof of payment of the consular fee. The consular page explains that after payment the applicant receives an e-mail and SMS confirming that the payment was received, followed by an e-mail and SMS with the appointment assigned by the system.
Documents for TR-N
For the TR-N visa the consular page asks for the passport valid for at least six months, two recent colour ID-size photos taken from the front, a letter from the applicant or the company stating the purpose of the trip and the address of the company or person to be contacted in Venezuela, and a bank letter showing the account opening date, number and balance. Applicants add the commercial or mercantile register or a letter from the relevant chamber or trade or industry association, a medical certificate issued by the health authority of the country of origin, and proof of payment of the consular fee. The consular page notes that all requirements are mandatory.
