Morocco family reunification visa
Family reunification visa and family residence card
In short
Relatives joining a family member in Morocco need lawful entry and then their own residence document. Visa-required nationals apply at the consulate for a family reunification visa with proof that the marriage or family link is genuine and legal; visa-exempt relatives enter with a passport. The spouse and minor children of a carte de résidence holder are entitled to the carte de résidence themselves.

Who can join family in Morocco
The consular family reunification category covers mixed marriages and family relationships: the foreign spouse, children (including children of a Moroccan mother and a foreign father pending regularisation under the nationality code), children placed under kafala or adopted internationally, and ascendants whose care has been taken on. Law No. 02-03 gives the carte de résidence by right, subject to lawful entry and stay, to the spouse and minor children of a foreigner who holds a carte de résidence; when those children reach adulthood they apply for their own card.
Visa documents
Beyond the standard form, photos, proof of address and passport with copy, the consulate asks for the document establishing the authenticity and legality of the marriage certificate, the full birth certificate establishing the family link, the kafala or adoption judgment where relevant, and the document showing that an ascendant is in your care.

Residence cards for family members
Adults (over 18) must hold their own carte d'immatriculation or carte de résidence once they stay beyond 90 days. Minors under 18 whose parent holds a residence document do not need a card; on request they receive a circulation document. Apply at the police foreigners' department with the proof of family link and of the family member's residence.
Families of Moroccan citizens
The foreign spouse of a Moroccan, the foreign child of a Moroccan mother (under conditions) and the dependent foreign ascendants of a Moroccan and of their spouse are entitled to the carte de résidence directly, without the four-year residence requirement, provided entry and stay are lawful.
