Slovenia: visa decisions in Kosovo

2024 353412.9% 85.3%
2025 3325310.0% 36.0%

In 2025, Slovenia’s embassy and consulates in Kosovo (Pristina) received 33 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 25. The refusal rate was 10.0%. The refusal rate rose by 7.1 points from 2.9% in 2024, a sharp increase. Applications fell by 6% compared with 2024 (35).

For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 9.6% of the applications lodged in Kosovo that year. Slovenia’s consulates worldwide refused 21.4%. Slovenia was the 6th most applied-for Schengen state in Kosovo.

You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Kosovo, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
