Trinidad and Tobago eVisa for visitors
eVisa (multiple entry)
In short
Trinidad and Tobago's Immigration Division, part of the Ministry of Homeland Security, publishes a list of countries whose citizens do not need an entry visa. Citizens of countries not on that list apply online for an eVisa before travelling. The application needs a valid email address, a passport valid for at least six months, a digital passport photo, supporting documents in PDF and a Visa or Mastercard card. The fee for a multiple-entry visa is TTD 800, non-refundable, and holding an eVisa does not guarantee entry.

Who needs a visa
The Immigration Division's list of countries whose citizens do not require entry visas includes many Commonwealth and Caribbean countries, such as the United Kingdom, Canada, Jamaica and Barbados. Citizens of countries that are not on the list need a visa, which is applied for through the eVisa portal. The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs refers all visa questions to this portal and to the Immigration Division.
Bona fide operating crew of aircraft or seagoing vessels do not need a visa, regardless of nationality.

Arrival and longer stays
The Immigration Division also offers an online arrival and departure card through travel.gov.tt. Visitors who wish to stay longer request an extension of stay at the Division's extension offices in Port of Spain, San Fernando or Tobago by appointment (extensions.north@gov.tt, extensions.south@gov.tt and extensions.tobago@gov.tt). Studying requires a student permit and working requires a work permit.
