Renewal and conditions

A business visa lasts at most 12 months but may be renewed. While holding it you must notify the Director of Immigration at once of relevant changes, such as ending your business, the birth or adoption of a child, the death of a dependant, marriage, divorce or formal separation; failing to do so is an offence.

Dependants

The business form covers only the applicant. A spouse not formally separated, a child under 18 or a person wholly dependent on you who will not work applies for a dependant visa, which costs 1,000 dollars; a dependant who will work or run a business files a separate business visa application.
