Business visa (business eVisa)
In short
The business eVisa covers meetings, conferences, research and business discussions in Mozambique for up to 90 days. It is issued for 30, 60 or 90 days with multiple entries, and the documents depend on whether you are invited by a licensed company, a public entity or travel on your own account.

Purpose
Use the business eVisa for business visits, research, meetings and conferences lasting up to 90 days. It is not a work visa: taking up employment requires a work visa. Travellers not exempt in SENAMI's waiver table need it for any business trip.
Business visa for oil and gas companies
Visitors doing business with registered oil and gas companies use a separate category, the business (oil and gas) eVisa. It is also issued for 30, 60 or 90 days with multiple entries, set according to the itinerary and the project. The invitation letter must be addressed to the Director General of SENAMI and ask for the visa to be granted. The file also needs the visa application form that the migration services hand out once proof of the bank deposit is shown, a letter from the concessionaire confirming its contract with the subcontracted company, proof of payment and the company's business licence (alvará). Payment is made online by card or bank transfer.
Documents by type of host
All applicants upload the passport bio page (valid more than six months) and a photo. If a company with a commercial licence invites you, add the licence, the invitation letter, the inviting person's terms of responsibility, a copy of the company representative's ID, accommodation proof and confirmed return tickets. A public entity provides the same set without the licence. Self-funded travellers give proof of financial means, accommodation and return tickets.
Supporting documents not in Portuguese, such as a medical certificate or criminal record, must be translated by a sworn translator.
If the traveller is under 18, the business page asks for an authorisation form completed and signed by one or both parents, downloaded from the portal and uploaded with the child's application. SENAMI reminds applicants that supplying every listed document is a legal duty under Law No. 23/2022.
