Available e-visas

Three types are available as e-visas: single-entry business, single-entry tourist and single-entry treatment visas. A single-entry visa entitles the holder to enter once, travel through and stay in Kazakhstan and leave it within the period, for the purposes and on the conditions set by the visa. The portal shows, per nationality, whether citizens can apply for an e-visa and in which categories; issuing e-visas to citizens of China is temporarily suspended.

Invitation number

An e-visa can be issued only if there is a valid invitation from the Kazakh side; the applicant needs the invitation number received from the inviting party. Invitations for private visits are submitted not earlier than one year and not later than five working days before entry, and applications or verbal notes from organisations not earlier than 90 calendar days and not later than five working days before entry. The National Security Committee approves an application within three working days; on its written request the five-working-day period can be extended to 30 calendar days.

Passport rules

The passport must be beyond doubt as to authenticity, free of unofficial marks, erasures or loose pages, have at least two blank pages for visas and remain valid at least three months after the requested visa expires; passports with extension marks are not accepted.
