Documents for the visa

Both missions ask for a fully completed visa application form filled in blue or black ink, the passport itself, valid for at least six months from the date of departure from Grenada, and two passport photos. London accepts photos up to six months old; Washington wants them no more than three months old with one certified by a Justice of the Peace or notary.

Residents of the mission's host country who are not its citizens add their residence card: London asks UK permanent residents to bring it, and Washington asks US permanent residents for proof of permission to re-enter the United States. Proof of payment completes the file.

How to apply

Submit the file to a Grenada mission at least six weeks before departure; processing takes about ten business days. In London the passport can be returned by Royal Mail Special Delivery if you enclose a prepaid envelope; applicants living outside the UK arrange a courier collection. The visa only lets you travel to the port of entry before it expires, where you must still satisfy Grenada's immigration officers.

  1. Check the official list to see whether your nationality is No Visa Required, Prior to Arrival or Port of Entry.
  2. Contact the Grenada mission you will use and confirm its current requirements before booking travel.
  3. Complete the visa application form and gather the passport, photos and any residence card.
  4. Pay the single- or multiple-entry fee and processing fee by an accepted method.
  5. Submit the file at least six weeks before departure and allow about ten business days.
  6. Collect the passport, check the visa dates and travel within its validity.

Staying longer or changing purpose

Visitors admitted for 14, 30, 60 or 90 days or six months must obtain a visa in Grenada if they want to remain beyond that period, and also if they want to work, study or reside permanently. The same applies to dependants.
