No express visa
The e-Visa portal has no paid priority option. Its visas are processed in 3 days under normal circumstances, and the portal recommends applying at least 3 days before arrival and no more than three months ahead. ICS gives about 5 to 10 business days for most of its in-country applications. Plan with these standard times rather than paying an intermediary: the portal warns that look-alike visa sites are not authorised.
The official urgent option
On its service pages for the Ethiopian Origin ID and the Ethiopian Origin ID by marriage, ICS sets a mandatory fee of USD 300 for regular service and USD 400 for urgent service. The Origin ID is for foreign citizens of Ethiopian descent; the marriage version is for foreigners whose marriage to an Ethiopian has been registered for at least two years. ICS adds that the Origin ID cannot be issued by proxy and that a daily penalty applies if it is not renewed on time.
ICS does not state how many days the urgent service saves. Its published 2-day and 5-day urgent tracks apply to Ethiopian passports, not to services for foreigners.
