How visas for the Comoros work
The Union of the Comoros issues entry visas to visitors on the spot when they arrive, rather than through an online system. On the government’s eRegulations portal the procedure is run by the Air and Border Police at Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport in Moroni: the visa is valid 45 days and renewable, and you show a landing card, a return ticket, your passport, proof of resources and your accommodation address, then pay in cash.
Official sources give different fees. The Permanent Mission of the Comoros to the United Nations lists EUR 60 for 45 days, EUR 250 for one year and EUR 500 for ten years, while eRegulations shows KMF 15,000 under a 2008 order; neither page is dated. For longer stays, the Ministry of the Interior’s immigration service issues a one-year renewable long-stay visa, documented for foreign investors at KMF 125,000. Confirm current conditions with a Comorian mission or at comoros@un.int before you travel.
