Greece: visa decisions in Singapore
| Year | Applications | Visas issued | Refused | Refusal rate | Multiple-entry share |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 1,352 | 1,341 | 9 | 0.7% | 55.0% |
| 2024 | 1,238 | 1,228 | 2 | 0.2% | 60.7% |
| 2025 | 1,279 | 1,265 | 9 | 0.7% | 58.9% |
In 2025, Greece’s embassy and consulates in Singapore (Singapore) received 1,279 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 1,265. The refusal rate was 0.7%. That is barely different from 2024 (0.2%). Applications rose by 3% compared with 2024 (1,238).
For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 5.1% of the applications lodged in Singapore that year, from 0.4% at the consulates of Belgium to 10.3% at those of the Netherlands. Greece’s consulates worldwide refused 14.5%. Greece was the 8th most applied-for Schengen state in Singapore.
You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Singapore, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
