YearApplicationsVisas issuedRefusedRefusal rateMultiple-entry share
2023 4,6533,95161313.4% 66.7%
2024 4,5363,84161913.9% 60.4%
2025 5,1744,44265412.8% 42.6%

In 2025, Denmark’s embassy and consulates in the Philippines (Manila) received 5,174 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 4,442. The refusal rate was 12.8%. That is barely different from 2024 (13.9%). Applications rose by 14% compared with 2024 (4,536).

For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 6.9% of the applications lodged in the Philippines that year, from 3.8% at the consulates of the Netherlands to 22.3% at those of the Czech Republic. Denmark’s consulates worldwide refused 21.9%. Denmark was the 9th most applied-for Schengen state in the Philippines.

You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in the Philippines, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
