Poland: visa decisions in Montenegro
| Year | Applications | Visas issued | Refused | Refusal rate | Multiple-entry share |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 155 | 151 | 4 | 2.6% | 72.2% |
| 2024 | 227 | 223 | 4 | 1.8% | 80.7% |
| 2025 | 261 | 251 | 10 | 3.8% | 90.4% |
In 2025, Poland’s embassy and consulates in Montenegro (Podgorica) received 261 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 251. 3.8% of applications were refused. In 2024 it had been 1.8%: the rate rose by 2.1 points. Applications rose by 15% compared with 2024 (227).
For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 9.1% of the applications lodged in Montenegro that year, from 3.4% at the consulates of Germany to 14.1% at those of Croatia. Poland’s consulates worldwide refused 15.8%. Poland was the 7th most applied-for Schengen state in Montenegro.
You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Montenegro, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
