Poland: visa decisions in Moldova
| Year | Applications | Visas issued | Refused | Refusal rate | Multiple-entry share |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 55 | 47 | 8 | 14.0% | 76.6% |
| 2024 | 23 | 18 | 5 | 18.5% | – |
| 2025 | 41 | 36 | 5 | 12.2% | 44.4% |
In 2025, Poland’s embassy and consulates in Moldova (Chișinău) received 41 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 36. The refusal rate was 12.2%. The refusal rate fell by 6.3 points from 18.5% in 2024, a clear improvement for applicants. Applications rose by 78% compared with 2024 (23).
For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 6.9% of the applications lodged in Moldova that year. Poland’s consulates worldwide refused 15.8%. Poland was the 7th most applied-for Schengen state in Moldova.
You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Moldova, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
