In 2025, the Czech Republic’s embassy and consulates in Mexico (Mexico City) received 20 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 19. 5.0% of applications were refused. In 2024 it had been 10.0%: the rate fell by 5.0 points, a clear improvement for applicants. The number of applications was almost unchanged (20 in 2024).

For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 5.5% of the applications lodged in Mexico that year, from 3.3% at the consulates of Spain to 9.8% at those of France. the Czech Republic’s consulates worldwide refused 14.2%. The Czech Republic was the 13th most applied-for Schengen state in Mexico.

You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Mexico, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
