Greece: visa decisions in Kosovo

YearApplicationsVisas issuedRefusedRefusal rateMultiple-entry share
2023 7,80015999412.8% 56.6%
2024 1241051613.0% 61.0%
2025 95781717.9% 79.5%

In 2025, Greece’s embassy and consulates in Kosovo (Pristina) received 95 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 78. 17.9% of applications were refused. In 2024 it had been 13.0%: the rate rose by 4.9 points. Applications fell by 23% compared with 2024 (124).

For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 9.6% of the applications lodged in Kosovo that year. Greece’s consulates worldwide refused 14.5%. Greece was the 5th most applied-for Schengen state in Kosovo.

You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Kosovo, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
