Croatia: visa decisions in Israel

YearApplicationsVisas issuedRefusedRefusal rateMultiple-entry share
2023 1079564.8% 70.5%
2024 87562125.9% 67.9%
2025 48331226.1% 66.7%

In 2025, Croatia’s embassy and consulates in Israel (Tel Aviv) received 48 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 33. The refusal rate was 26.1%. That is barely different from 2024 (25.9%). Applications fell by 45% compared with 2024 (87).

For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 18.5% of the applications lodged in Israel that year, from 2.1% at the consulates of Germany to 29.0% at those of Spain. Croatia’s consulates worldwide refused 18.5%. Croatia was the 20th most applied-for Schengen state in Israel.

You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Israel, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
