Poland: visa decisions in Georgia
| Year | Applications | Visas issued | Refused | Refusal rate | Multiple-entry share |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 540 | 495 | 43 | 6.8% | 41.2% |
| 2024 | 515 | 443 | 70 | 13.1% | 37.5% |
| 2025 | 452 | 391 | 60 | 13.2% | 25.8% |
In 2025, Poland’s embassy and consulates in Georgia (Tbilisi) received 452 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 391. 13.2% of applications were refused. In 2024 the rate was much the same, 13.1%. Applications fell by 12% compared with 2024 (515).
For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 13.8% of the applications lodged in Georgia that year, from 3.1% at the consulates of the Netherlands to 33.9% at those of Italy. Poland’s consulates worldwide refused 15.8%. Poland was the 9th most applied-for Schengen state in Georgia.
You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Georgia, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
