Temporary residence for students (Residencia temporal para estudiantes)
In short
Foreigners who will study at a Guatemalan educational institution apply to the IGM for temporary residence as students. Unlike other temporary residences, it is granted for the length of the school cycle or university course and can be extended for as long as the studies last, without the five-year limit. The file needs an enrolment letter from the institution with signature, stamp and timetable or study plan, and proof of economic means. Filing costs USD 25 and the status USD 100 for each year granted.
