How visas for Equatorial Guinea work
Equatorial Guinea runs an online e-visa that is open to all nationalities. The official portal, linked from the government's official website, is operated by VFS Global on behalf of the immigration authorities: VFS checks the uploaded documents and collects the fees, while the Directorate General of Immigration decides and issues the e-visa letter.
The approved e-visa is a pre-authorisation. You print the approval letter, fly to Malabo International Airport, which is currently the only border enabled for the online visa, and receive the visa stamp in your passport after an immigration check that includes a retina scan.
The standard cost is USD 50 for the e-visa plus a USD 25 service fee before tax, the same for infants, children and adults. A complete application is normally decided within 24 to 72 hours after payment.
