Travelling in and out as a resident
Residence permit holders who stay outside Botswana for more than six months need a visa to come back; the visitor's visa page names non-citizen returning residents among its applicants. Dependants of residents can receive a multiple-entry visitor's visa valid for up to two years, for BWP 1,500 according to the Botswana Embassy in Berlin, and holders of approved permits receive their entry visa free of charge.
