Who uses the visa múltiple
The visa authorises constant entries and exits for investment and business. It suits representatives of foreign companies, investors and executives who travel to Bolivia regularly. Group I nationals can already make short business visits within the 30-day visa-free stay, extendable to 90 days a year, but the tourist stay excludes paid activity; the visa múltiple gives a dedicated business status for a full year of repeated trips.
Requirements
Bolivian consulates ask for the sworn statement visa application form, a passport valid for at least six months, legalised documents of incorporation of the company the applicant represents in the country of origin or residence, and a legalised copy of the tax identification number (NIT) or the original electronic certificate if the company was incorporated in Bolivia.
Applicants also provide a valid police, criminal or judicial record certificate from their country of origin or residence, or a certificate issued by INTERPOL, a yellow fever vaccination certificate if they will visit high-risk endemic areas, and a recent 4 x 4 cm photo with a red background. Foreign documents should carry an apostille or the legalisation the consulate requires.

Applying
Submit the application at a Bolivian embassy or consulate, presenting the documents listed above. The consulate may ask for further information. Once issued, the visa allows repeated trips over one year; each stay must not exceed 90 uninterrupted days. Confirm the current consular fee with the mission that will receive your application, since it is not published on the network's general visa page.
- Collect the company and tax documents and have them legalised.
- Obtain the criminal record certificate.
- Apply at a Bolivian embassy or consulate with the form and photo.
- Travel repeatedly during the year, keeping each stay within 90 days.
Limits
The visa covers investment and business activities, not employment with a Bolivian employer. People who will work in Bolivia, volunteer or take part in academic exchanges apply for the visa de objeto determinado instead and then for a temporary residence permit from DIGEMIG.
