In 2025, Hungary’s embassy and consulates in Singapore (Singapore) received 420 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 412. The refusal rate was 1.0%. The refusal rate fell by 2.2 points from 3.1% in 2024. Applications rose by 19% compared with 2024 (353).
For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 5.1% of the applications lodged in Singapore that year, from 0.4% at the consulates of Belgium to 10.3% at those of the Netherlands. Hungary’s consulates worldwide refused 13.0%. Hungary was the 12th most applied-for Schengen state in Singapore.
