Denmark: visa decisions in Singapore

YearApplicationsVisas issuedRefusedRefusal rateMultiple-entry share
2023 2,7672,670511.9% 12.1%
2024 3,5763,507391.1% 15.4%
2025 3,8463,728731.9% 19.4%

In 2025, Denmark’s embassy and consulates in Singapore (Singapore) received 3,846 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 3,728. The refusal rate was 1.9%. That is barely different from 2024 (1.1%). Applications rose by 8% compared with 2024 (3,576).

For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 5.1% of the applications lodged in Singapore that year, from 0.4% at the consulates of Belgium to 10.3% at those of the Netherlands. Denmark’s consulates worldwide refused 21.9%. Denmark was the 6th most applied-for Schengen state in Singapore.

You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Singapore, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
