Hungary visa for Qatari citizens

For the tourist visa, Hungary’s official sources give a standard fee of €90. Processing time, as Hungary states it: Normally 15 calendar days; up to 45 days in individual cases where further checks or documents are needed. Longest stay on the tourist visa: Up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the Schengen area.

In 2025, Hungary’s embassy and consulates in Qatar (Doha) received 6,885 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 6,077. The refusal rate was 10.1%. The refusal rate fell by 2.1 points from 12.2% in 2024. Applications rose by 35% compared with 2024 (5,114).

For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 15.1% of the applications lodged in Qatar that year, from 7.2% at the consulates of Switzerland to 56.6% at those of Bulgaria. Hungary’s consulates worldwide refused 13.0%. Hungary was the 6th most applied-for Schengen state in Qatar.
