Croatia: visa decisions in Kuwait

YearApplicationsVisas issuedRefusedRefusal rateMultiple-entry share
2023 5314535210.3% 92.7%
2024 1,028952565.5% 95.5%
2025 518473275.4% 97.0%

In 2025, Croatia’s embassy and consulates in Kuwait (Kuwait City) received 518 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 473. 5.4% of applications were refused. In 2024 the rate was much the same, 5.5%. Applications fell by 50% compared with 2024 (1,028).

For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 5.7% of the applications lodged in Kuwait that year, from 2.7% at the consulates of France to 15.1% at those of Hungary. Croatia’s consulates worldwide refused 18.5%. Croatia was the 13th most applied-for Schengen state in Kuwait.

You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Kuwait, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
