Poland: visa decisions in Jordan
| Year | Applications | Visas issued | Refused | Refusal rate | Multiple-entry share |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 2,050 | 1,644 | 402 | 19.1% | 34.9% |
| 2024 | 1,868 | 1,478 | 369 | 19.3% | 61.2% |
| 2025 | 2,265 | 1,633 | 618 | 26.9% | 61.9% |
In 2025, Poland’s embassy and consulates in Jordan (Amman) received 2,265 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 1,633. The refusal rate was 26.9%. The refusal rate rose by 7.5 points from 19.3% in 2024, a sharp increase. Applications rose by 21% compared with 2024 (1,868).
For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 21.4% of the applications lodged in Jordan that year, from 5.4% at the consulates of Romania to 52.0% at those of Norway. Poland’s consulates worldwide refused 15.8%. Poland was the 11th most applied-for Schengen state in Jordan.
You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Jordan, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
