Slovakia: visa decisions in Israel
| Year | Applications | Visas issued | Refused | Refusal rate | Multiple-entry share |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 71 | 68 | 2 | 2.9% | 42.6% |
| 2024 | 49 | 46 | 0 | 0.0% | 65.2% |
| 2025 | 77 | 78 | 1 | 1.3% | 48.7% |
In 2025, Slovakia’s embassy and consulates in Israel (Tel Aviv) received 77 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 78. The refusal rate was 1.3%. That is barely different from 2024 (0.0%). Applications rose by 57% compared with 2024 (49).
For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 18.5% of the applications lodged in Israel that year, from 2.1% at the consulates of Germany to 29.0% at those of Spain. Slovakia’s consulates worldwide refused 9.6%. Slovakia was the 19th most applied-for Schengen state in Israel.
You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Israel, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
