Greece visa for Indian citizens

Greece’s tourist visa costs €90 at the standard rate published by its authorities. Processing time, as Greece states it: Decision normally within 15 calendar days of an admissible application; longer in individual cases that need more checks (the Visa Code allows up to 45 days). In 2025, Greece’s embassy and consulates in India (New Delhi) received 41,009 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 27,232. 33.2% of applications were refused. In 2024 it had been 31.5%: the rate rose by 1.7 points. The number of applications was almost unchanged (41,418 in 2024).

For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 15.8% of the applications lodged in India that year, from 7.1% at the consulates of Denmark to 46.5% at those of Slovenia. Greece’s consulates worldwide refused 14.5%. Greece was the 8th most applied-for Schengen state in India.

You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there.
