Lithuania: visa decisions in Georgia
| Year | Applications | Visas issued | Refused | Refusal rate | Multiple-entry share |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 121 | 88 | 33 | 27.3% | 80.7% |
| 2024 | 107 | 89 | 24 | 20.9% | 53.9% |
| 2025 | 104 | 90 | 12 | 11.5% | 67.8% |
In 2025, Lithuania’s embassy and consulates in Georgia (Tbilisi) received 104 applications for short-stay Schengen visas and issued 90. 11.5% of applications were refused. In 2024 it had been 20.9%: the rate fell by 9.3 points, a clear improvement for applicants. Applications fell by 3% compared with 2024 (107).
For comparison, all Schengen states together refused 13.8% of the applications lodged in Georgia that year, from 3.1% at the consulates of the Netherlands to 33.9% at those of Italy. Lithuania’s consulates worldwide refused 14.4%. Lithuania was the 13th most applied-for Schengen state in Georgia.
You apply to the Schengen state that is your main destination (the longest stay or the main purpose; the state of first entry only when there is none), so a lower rate elsewhere is no reason to apply there. The figures cover applications lodged in Georgia, by any nationality: mostly citizens, but also residents from other countries.
