In fiscal year 2025 (October 2024 to September 2025) the United States issued 4,482 nonimmigrant visas to citizens of Croatia, the 112th highest number of the 206 nationalities listed. Exchange visitor visas (J) made up 41%, visitor visas 22% and transit and crew visas 21%. That is 4% more than in fiscal year 2024 (4,315).
From October 2025 to February 2026, citizens of Croatia received 1,425, 17% more than in the same months a year earlier.
For visitor visas (B1/B2) the State Department reports an adjusted refusal rate of 14.8% for citizens of Croatia in fiscal year 2025 (fiscal year 2024: 11.6%). The adjusted rate counts a refusal that was later overcome, for example with further documents, as an issuance. A rate below 3% is one of the conditions for a country to join the Visa Waiver Program.
These figures count visas issued to citizens of Croatia anywhere in the world, not only at the US missions in Croatia.
