If your nationality is not on the list
Nationals who cannot use the portal take a visa at the port of entry if the Ministry of Interior allows it for their nationality (USD 25 single entry), or a tourist visa from an Egyptian embassy or consulate before travel. For trips limited to the South Sinai resorts, the free 15-day designated-areas permit may apply, unless the nationality is required to obtain an advance visa.
Who can use the e-Visa
Only nationals of the countries listed in the portal’s FAQ can apply. The list includes EU states, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, India, the Gulf states, several Latin American countries and others. Holders of diplomatic, service, official, refugee and similar travel documents cannot use the portal and apply through an Egyptian mission.
The e-Visa is for tourism only. Business trips, work and study need a different visa from an embassy or consulate.

Is the e-Visa fee refunded if I am refused?
No. The portal states that the fee is non-refundable, and incomplete applications are rejected without a refund.
Can I use the e-Visa for a business meeting?
No. It is a tourist visa. A business trip needs a business visa from an Egyptian embassy or consulate.
Are other e-Visa websites official?
No. The only government e-Visa site is visa2egypt.gov.eg. Look-alike sites are private intermediaries that add their own fees.
Does an approved e-Visa guarantee entry?
