Investor categories
MIREX describes four routes. Direct investors present the certification of the Export and Investment Centre of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD), the commercial registration and three months of bank statements. Companies under the free-zone regime present a certification from the National Free Zones Council with bank statements. Investments in border development projects need a certification from the National Border Development Council. Investments in tourism development projects can be accredited by CEI-RD or the Ministry of Tourism, with the title showing the investment and bank statements. MIREX's page does not set a minimum amount; the certification from the competent body is the qualifying document.
